Nice uptimes on Solaris

Ok, not related to Linux, but very interesting. The servers bellow are running Oracle 9i.

root@dbs01 # uname -a
SunOS dbs01 5.9 Generic_112233-12 sun4u sparc SUNW,Ultra-250
root@dbs01 # uptime
  8:23 am up 460 day(s), 14:29 , 1 user, load average: 0.04, 0.04, 0.04
root@dbs02 # uname -a
SunOS dbs02 5.9 Generic_112233-11 sun4u sparc SUNW,Ultra-Fire-V440
root@dbs02 # uptime
  2:21 pm up 540 day(s), 25 min(s) , 3 users, load average: 2.84, 2.32, 2.04

I hate Sun and I even more hate Solaris, it has a false reputation of being stable. BTW, more than 30 days of uptime means you don’t patch the OS very often (half of them require reboot of the machine)…

Note that I’m writing this, being on a Sun machine :(
$ uname -a
SunOS deputter 5.9 Generic_117171-17 sun4u sparc SUNW,Sun-Fire-280R
