Ontem assisti ao filme “A Lenda de Beowulf“. É um filme que está sendo bastante criticado por que, dizem, que tem um roteiro fraco. Eu não achei. Para mim foi uma estória muito boa, que sem dúvida poderia ser contada de forma mais extensa (alguns detalhes faltaram), mas no geral, muito bom.

Mas o que motivou o post não foi o filme, mas o cinema. Aqui em SP ele está sendo exibido na sala 3D do Shpping Eldorado. Nossa! A qualidade da imagem, e a sensação de profundiade são incríveis. Eu já havia assistido desenhos 3D com temas infantis, e eles não conseguiram passar a mesma sensação de profundidade que esse filme. Imagino eu que isso acontece pois o filme tenta reproduzir coisas reais, ao contrário dos desenhos que são caricaturas. Com isso, você consegue reconhecer melhor a profundade e a textura das coisas.

No geral valeu muito, tanto pelo filme quanto pela tecnologia. Quem puder, na minha opinião, vale à pena o esforço.

Yesterday I went to see the movie “Beowulf“. This films is receiving bad critics in Brazil because, they say, it has a week script. I didn’t think so. To me it was a great story, which could very well be told with a longer movie (a few details were missing), but in general, very good.

But what motivates the post is not the movie, but the movie screen. Here in Sao Paulo it’s being screened at the 3D room of the Eldorado Shopping Mall. Wow! The picture quality, and the feeling of the depth are amazing. I had already seen 3D cartoons with kids themes, and they can’t transmit the same sensation of reality than this movie. I guess it happens because the movie tries to reproduce real things, instead of trying to make them appear funny (like in cartoons). Then you can recognize better the depth and texture of things.

In general it was very worthwhile, because of the movie and the technology. Go for it, if you can.
